Cosmetic Injections

When one hears the word “Botox,” there’s often a stigma attached to the word. But as facial injectables are finding its way into the wellness conversation, it’s time to ditch the stigma and take a closer look at the many different uses of Botox — from its therapeutic effects (treatment for TMJ, or temporo-mandibular joint disorders associated with jaw tension and pain, teeth grinding, etc.) and treating hyperhidrosis/excessive sweating to Botox for “tweak-ments” to enhance your own natural beauty.

Here are the cosmetic injections that we offer at Rose Health Clinic.
Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancement is a cosmetic procedure for fuller, plumper and defined lips using hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in the body. These hyaluronic acid lip fillers are injected into the upper and lower lips, and the fillers last approximately 6-12 months.

Dermal Filler

Injectable dermal fillers are gel-like substances, in this case we use hyaluronic acid dermal filler, that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours, for example jawline contour, Marionette lines (facial wrinkles or lines that run vertically between the mouth and chin) and Nasolabial folds (the deep wrinkles or lines that form from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth). Of course, during your consultation, Nitha will help you assess your overall facial balance and address your personal needs. And since the fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, it can also be dissolved if you aren’t happy with its effects.

Mini Non-Surgical Facelift

What exactly is a non-surgical facelift? Exactly how it sounds — a non-surgical facelift is a minimally invasive and non-surgical cosmetic procedure, designed to rejuvenate and refresh your appearance. There are no incisions, anesthesia or overnight hospitalization with these procedures. This non-invasive cosmetic procedure uses Botox treatments, targeting the lower face including Marionette lines, Nasolabial folds and a Smile lift, which actually lifts the corners of the mouth to change the appearance of looking disgruntled or unhappy.

Full Non-Surgical Facelift

The full non-surgical face lift is the upgrade from the mini — it’s a cosmetic procedure targeting the lower and midface as well as the cheeks and jaw contour. This is the perfect treatment for individuals who want a full facelift without surgical intervention. This package includes cheeks, jawline, Marionette lines and Nasolabial folds and utilizes as well as 50 units of Botox. What are the benefits of a non-surgical facelift you may ask? For starters, it’s more affordable in comparison to surgical facelifts. It also takes less than an hour to complete plus it requires less recovery time and minimal aftercare. It’s the best approach to more natural-looking (but still significant) results — a more minimal and softer approach to cosmetic enhancement.

Upper Face Botox

Upper Face Botox focuses on, well, the upper face. Botox is used to relax your facial muscles that cause the appearance of wrinkles, including Bunny Lines (wrinkles and fine lines that appear diagonally on both sides of your nose), forehead lines and Crow’s Feet.

Non-Cosmetic Procedures and Injection Therapy We Offer

Botox and other injectables have been growing increasingly popular over the years, with studies showing that confidence levels are one of the key reasons individuals book a cosmetic appointment. It becomes less about enhancing one’s overall appearance and more about what tweaks can be made to make someone feel better about themselves. But one of the biggest misconceptions about Botox that contributes directly to the stigma against it is the idea that it is purely cosmetic.

Nitha offers two special non-cosmetic injection therapy services in Toronto: TMJ Relief and Hyperhydrosis Treatment.

TMJ Relief

TMJ stands for Temporomandibular Joint — it’s the hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull, which are in front of each ear. The TMJ allows you to move your jaw up and down and side to side, so you can talk, chew and yawn. What causes TMJ to flare up? One of the main causes is stress, which can lead to jaw clenching or bruxism (teeth grinding) and even headaches. There are many natural ways to help you calm TMJ, such as applying an ice pack to your jaw, taking ibuprofen (Advil) or aspirin, even wearing a night guard or splint as you sleep. But in many cases when the pain is just too much, you can consider TMJ treatment using Botox injection, which can help bring pain relief and decrease TMJ symptoms for a few months.

Hyperhidrosis Treatment

We’re in the business of making you feel your best — and sometimes excessive sweating can be a hindrance to your overall self-esteem. When the prescription-strength antiperspirants aren’t cutting it, consider using Botox for hyperhidrosis, which is injected in the underarm area, temporarily blocking the nerves that can cause sweating. Allow us to help you regain your confidence back.
