Diane Murphy, CNP, RNCP, ROHP

Certified Nutrition Practitioner

My name is Diane Murphy and I have over 15 years of  experience as a Holistic Nutritionist. I have had the pleasure of  working with hundreds of clients with diverse backgrounds and health concerns and the absolute privilege of witnessing countless health transformations initiated by the incredible powers of a targeted whole food diet.

I specialize in women’s health and have an extensive background in prenatal/postnatal nutrition, pediatrics, and the wonderful (but sometimes daunting) life after 40. My biggest passion is supporting and advocating for women who are living with breast cancer, recovering from it, or trying to reduce their risk. But no matter who I work with, my goal is to inspire them to get excited about taking more control over their health, which starts in their very own kitchen. I love tossing that one-size-fits- all meal plan they found on the  internet and replacing it with customized strategies that have the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time… without all the overwhelm.

When I’m not seeing clients, I can also be found doing Health and Weather segments on The Weather Network or hanging with my two fabulous kids.

Clinical Focus: cancer (whether active, in recovery or prevention), digestive health, hormone health (women), stress management, immune health, reducing inflammation and customized meal planning.

Her goal is for every client to leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves. In her free time, she likes to go on hikes and explore new trails. Avery Zenker, RD, MAN

Registered Dietitian

My name is Avery and I’m a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in nutrition. The way we eat has a profound impact on our lives – it’s interconnected with our energy, mindset, and the way we experience life. It’s one of my biggest passions to help empower your wellness journey in a way that feels balanced and harmonious.

I’m passionate about gut health, weight management, women’s health, plant-based nutrition, fitness nutrition, intuitive eating, chronic conditions such as heart disease and metabolic disorders, and more. I’ve helped people optimize nutrient intake, relieve chronic symptoms, learn how to plan meals, and improve energy levels. I take a holistic approach to nutrition that’s aligned with your personal needs and lifestyle.

I see wellness as an evolving process with an abundance of opportunities for growth, which is about aligning your choices with the life you want to create. One of my favourite mantras is “where focus goes, energy flows”, which expresses that where we direct our attention and efforts, is what comes to life.

Clinical Focus: gut health, weight management, women’s health, plant-based nutrition, fitness nutrition, intuitive eating, chronic conditions such as heart disease and metabolic disorders

Aruna Peri, MS, RD, CDE

Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator

Hi there! I am a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator by profession with an educational background in nutrition & food process engineering. After completing my Master’s, I started my career working in the Food Industry, developing and improving the quality of a variety of food products. My passion has always been on the integrative and functional aspects of food & nutrition and the positive effect that it has on our overall well-being. With this passion, I embarked on my career in the healthcare sector.

I see the Food Dichotomy (good food vs. bad food) almost every day in my practice. While we must be mindful of this dichotomy, we must remind ourselves that food is beyond nutrition.  I am a big proponent of the holistic approach to food and strive to empower a healthier relationship with food.

Research has shown that the “cookie cutter approach” or “all or none approach” to foods does not help to enhance individuals’ wellness. I will work with you to provide personalized recommendations, and customized meal plans that will meet your nutritional needs, promote satiety and offer a wide variety.

Clinical Focus: Vegetarianism, Prevention and Management: Diabetes, Obesity, PCOS, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Personalized Meal Plans, Nutrigenomics

Jennifer Adjei, BSW, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor

Hello, my name is Jennifer Adjei, and I work as a Clinical Social Worker. My friends and family will describe me as caring, passionate, understanding, and supportive. I always had a safe space where I could express my emotions, triggers and coping strategies. I am not perfect; I am human, just like you. The difference between you and me is that I learned tools, skills, theories, modalities, and lessons from my personal and professional life. Daily,  I listen to people’s stories, life choices, accomplishments, and struggles.

Many people have reasons why they made choices that made sense, helped them, or benefited them in the moment. And sometimes, people just need to get a different perspective on how to deal with trauma, triggers, and stress and move forward. Wherever you are in your life journey, let me help you become a better version of yourself. I am happy to do a 15-minute conversation by phone, video or in person, and you can let me know if you want to talk about how you feel the way you do, some behaviours you are doing to cope and maybe come up with better ways to deal with stress and get better results. When everything here is starting to fall apart, I am here to help you put the pieces back together.

Therapy is about unpacking, unlearning, and relearning to be better. Thank you for letting me be part of your story.

Fun fact: My native name, Maame Yaa, means Thursday born.

Clinical Focus: Individual: Anxiety / Depression, Addictions, Stress/lifestyle/health, Bereavement/loss, Workplace issues, Childcare/eldercare resources Relationships: Conflict, Communication, Separation/divorce, Abuse/assault, Parent/child, Couples, Family consultation and referral.
