Flora Roche, CYC, MSW, RSW,

Registered Social Worker

I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families through complex life transitions. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and systems-aware approach that recognizes how lived experiences, identity, and structural factors shape wellbeing.

My primary clinical focus includes complicated grief and ambiguous loss, particularly in the context of post-pandemic experiences. I also support children and adolescents navigating school-related anxiety and disengagement. In my practice, I draw on evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, supportive counselling, and skills-informed strategies inspired by mindfulness, DBT and solution-focused brief therapy, tailoring interventions to each person’s needs and pace.

I believe healing happens when people feel safe, deeply heard, and supported at their own pace. Therapy, to me, is a practice of grounding and collaboration, empowering people to build goals, insight, resilience, and tools that align with their values.

I enjoy walking alongside people during seasons of change and supporting them as they reconnect with their strengths and sense of meaning.

Fun fact: I have lived on four continents and speak Tok Pisin — welcome, wantok.
